ABOUT MICHAEL MASTRO

While a born actor, Michael has also discovered his storytelling talents and passion as a director.

Over the last decade, his directorial work has been seen regionally at George Street Playhouse, where he served for two years as Resident Artistic Director and directed several shows (The Subject Was Roses, The Fabulous Lipitones, Nureyev’s Eyes, and musical Daddy Long Legs), as well as at Delaware Theatre Company where he was also the Associate Artistic Director  (Nora and Nureyev’s Eyes).

His NYC work includes many one-acts and numerous celebrity benefit play readings with the participation of such talents as Bernadette Peters, John Dossett, Edie Falco, Zach Quinto, Melissa Leo, Cynthia Nixon, John Slattery, Laura Benanti, Stockard Channing, Jean Smart, Beau Bridges, Michael McKean and Cecilly Strong.

As he finds teaching and coaching both natural extensions of directing, he enjoys sharing with others in those capacities between directing and acting gigs.
